font size shortcut not working interactively
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I am using the git version of terminology (ver. 0.9.99), which was pulled from Launchpad/nikko/terminology.

I notice that font size shortcut is not working properly. Here is the way to reproduce it:

  1. open up terminology window, use shortcut ctrl+alt + (plus sign) to enlarge font
  2. notice that font size wont change in realtime in the current terminal.
  3. press ctrl+shift+t to open up a new tab,
  4. Note that the font size is bigger because it was changed in step # 3

The desire behavior is to have realtime font rescale in the current terminal, please let me know if this is an expected behavior in the current version of terminology. thanks.

It works for me.
Can you redo the bindings in the settings section?

hmm, i did not change anything in settings.

Could it be the version at launchpad is not update-to-date, ref. https://launchpad.net/terminology?

Can you redo that keybinding and see if it makes it work?

I just reset the binding and found that it's still the same.

However, I found that font resize works perfectly if focus is on the first tab (most left tab). If focus is on second to last time, font resize does not happen interactively. Does it make sense? So to replicate this bug, here are the modified steps to reproduce this bug:

  1. open up terminology window, and create new tab. Focus is on the newly created tab (not first tab).
  2. use shortcut ctrl+alt + (plus sign) to enlarge font 3 notice that font size wont change in realtime in the current terminal (tab).
  3. press ctrl+shift+t to open up a new tab,
  4. Note that the font size is bigger because it was changed in step # 3

ps: if you switch to the first tab (most left tab), for some reason font rescale works interactively as expected. Font rescale does not resize interactively for 2nd to last tab. Please investigate. Feel free to let me know if you need me to try anything new.

I'm able to reproduce the issue.

I'll fix this one after the release.
