Enlightenment On Wayland Freezes Upon Startup On Gentoo
Open, Pending on user inputPublic

Description

I'm on Gentoo running Enlightenment git and can't get it to run on Wayland no matter what I try. I have everything configured for Wayland in my configure options just cannot start on Wayland.

Here's a file of some commandline output when running 'enlightenment_start':

I'm running on Gentoo, and I can start a wayland session, but only in a single-display setup. I wonder if you're getting https://phab.enlightenment.org/T4501 or similar?

How exactly does your mutli display setup look like? For me it just opens e_wl on the laptop screen and the rest just is black.

as @devilhorns explained in T4501 multihead on wayland is currently disabled on purpose.

well it's not locked by threads or locks - your mainloop seems to be working/spinning. just no input or output. i just see timeouts.

perhaps missing a logind session? you need that for support to get permission to open devices... so you need systemd.

I was able to get it to start when I disabled the 2nd display in my case a displayport port so you might be right dkasak.
