Commonly in my work flow, I need to screenshot just a portion of the screen (say, a window), and paste in to an email. It would be really useful for the "shot" module to be enhanced for these sorts of features. Presently, the required work flow is to grab a screen shot, save it, crop it using another tool, and finally drag it as an attachment to, say, chromium. On KDE/gnome, it's possible to grab only a rectangular region, copy directly to the clipboard, for pasting in to the browser (say, in to an email message).

You could take a look into emprint (https://git.enlightenment.org/apps/emprint.git/) . It does the rectangular region stuff you are looking for ... but only works in X11 right now. If someone wanted to, they could incorporate some of the emprint code into E's shot module code... ;)

Thank you for adding crop and edit functions in current E. The only more thing missing is CLIPBOARD - I need to share picture to E then open in a browser then copy paste it..
Simple screenshot + crop + edit + copy to clipboard is 98% use cases :-)

If I know Carsten ... lol ... Yea, E's SS mod has must of things already ... time for others to contribute ;) ... Carsten did that a few months ago, so yes it Will be in a New release....It can upload, but right now it just Ups to E for sharing .... Code could be modified to upload elsewhere... That's Easy Peasy....

No, not really ... Just use the Corner Icon and you can Take a Shot of a Single WIndow......It's Already on the Window Menu IF you have the SHOT module loaded.....

@devilhorns , actually, this is an old bug that wasn't closed when the features were implemented (2019). So I think your comments don't make sense :-) I'll close this for now.
