Do you prefer windows to be able to overlap your shelf?

When resizing or moving a window, should the window be able to partially or completely cover a shelf?

I don't mind unmaximised windows going under the shelf (Its set to always on top) maximised windows shouldn't

I agree with Simon and would add that, since I rarely have my shelf filled to full length, I find myself clicking the bit of wallpaper that shows for quick access to the menu to do things like restart E or take a screenshot.

Windows over shelves when manipulating windows. Shelves over windows when manipulating shelves. Makes sense to me.
